Having spent many hours on the range at European tour events it is apparent that no two players swing their club in the same way, each have their own approach and technique. However, they each follow the same five fundamentals and it is these, when coaching and individuals swing that underpins Fred's approach.

ntermediate level refers to those golfers who play on a fairly regular basis, and are looking to improve various aspects of their game. By discussing and understanding what the player wants to achieve, analysing any particular issues, we work to develop a programme that delivers long term results, often providing the player with some simple drills to practice and swing thoughts to be mindful of.

Advanced level refers to frequent players, who have a technical understanding, want to develop a more consistent swing and take their game up to the next level. We assess strengths and weaknesses, discuss aspirations and dedication level, ultimately creating a coaching programme that delivers results.

Come with friends or make new ones

Group lessons include a number of golfers being taught together about various aspects of the game. Typically we run sessions dedicated to one element of the game, such like; putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, iron play, driving, distance control and so on. Players of similar levels are included in each group, enabling Fred to deliver a programme that is aligned to ability.

Enjoyable experience

Fred offers junior lessons to youngsters of all ages, providing an introduction to the game, the importance of developing a good swing and learning the basics while on the range. Lessons are available on an individual or group basis, with golf clubs (if required) and balls provided. Junior golfing camps are held at a regular basis, providing an intensive and enjoyable experience for groups of junior golfers. Fred is fully DBS checked.

On course experience

For those who are hitting it well on the range but can’t consistently recreate it on the course, or for those looking for a more general and real playability session, a playing lesson could be a great choice. Fred offers a 9 or 18 hole playing lesson at Stratford-upon-Avon Golf Club, Warwickshire, allowing him a first hand view of your performance to identify any areas that need to be worked on. Non-members need to be aware that a guests green fee would be payable in addition to the cost of the lesson

Know your numbers a gapping analysis

Using GC Quad combined with foresight sports we will lead through a full bag gapping analysis, You will hit each club upto 10 times.


When completed we will be able to advise the carry distance for each club and highlight any gaps in your bag.

  • What age range do you teach?

    Fred is happy to coach any age and any ability, we all can get better in some way!

  • Are you going to rebuild my swing?

    Fred will try to work with and improve your personal swing and build the main fundamentals of the golf swing to suit YOU! After all, how many swings on the PGA and European are the same?

  • Do you do group as well as individual lessons?

    Yes, group lessons can be arranged for up to 8 people. Please ask for details. Fred will be hosting group junior camps during the holidays as well, so watch out for details.

  • Do I need golf clothing to come for a lesson?

    No you don't need golf clothes for the lesson in the simulator. On course golf lessons will require golf clothing at all times. If you are unsure call Fred and we can help in the Pro shop.

  • Do I need my own clubs?

    If you do not have clubs these can be easily supplied, but obviously use your own if you have them.

  • Is coaching on the simulator as good as outside?

    Coaching on the simulator is almost better due to the data that can be analysed and there aren't any outside weather factors to take into consideration. You are able to recieve true coaching ready for the course
